Call for papers


The Portuguese Committee of the URSI will hold its 14th congress on 10 December 2020, dedicated to the theme of “Telecommunications in the pandemic crisis: paths towards virtualisation”.

Aimed at encouraging young Portuguese authors, ANACOM will sponsor the Best Student Paper Award, that will be given to the best article submitted by a student who is the first author and delivers an oral presentation of the paper at the congress, in pitch format of 3 to 5 minutes.

In order to compete for this award, applicants should express their intention in a specific form submitted together with the article. ANACOM reserves the right to require confirmation of the applicant's academic situation.

All interested persons are thus invited to submit original scientific articles in the following areas:

The selected papers will be presented at the congress in pitch format of 3 to 5 minutes and subsequently posted on ANACOM's website.

Rules for submission of papers

Papers must be sent by 27 November 2020, by email to ursi.por@anacom.ptmailto:ursi.por@anacom.pt, and should cover 2 to 4 pages in pdf format, using the IEEE template http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/authors/authors_journals.html, in two columns.

The first author will be notified as to the acceptance, or not, of the paper for oral presentation.

The official language of the congress is Portuguese, although papers in English and Spanish will also be accepted.
