By final decision of 18 July 2019, ANACOM adopted the Regulation referred to in Articles 5, 7, 8, 16 and 17 of Decree-Law No 16/2019 of 22 January, laying down the rules for the access to and exercise of space activities.
The report of the public consultation to which the draft Regulationhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1473915 was subject of 6 June 2019 was also approved, a procedure in which the following contributions were received: Agência Espacial Portuguesa (Portuguese Space Agency) - PT Space; AVIO; Deimos Engenharia; Direção Geral das Atividades Económicas do Ministério da Economia (Directorate-General of Economic Activities of the Ministry of the Economy); ILex Space; D-Orbit; INOVA+ Innovation Services; MGRA Sociedade de Advogados; Payload Aerosapace (PLD); Ricardo Abreu (ISCTE); Rocket Factory Augsburg Gmbh; Universidade dos Açores (University of the Azores); Zero - Associação Sistema Terrestre Sustentável.
In the context of the cooperation between public authorities, but outside the public consultation procedure, contributions were requested from the member of the government responsible for the communications areas, all the Ministries and the Regional Governments of Madeira and the Azores, and the comments were received from the Ministério da Ciência (Ministry of Science), Tecnologia e Ensino Superior - MCTES (Technology and Higher Education), do Ministério da Cultura, da Secretaria Regional do Mar (Ministry of Culture, the Regional Secretariat of the Sea), Ciência e Tecnologia dos Açores e do Governo Regional dos Açores (Science and Technology of the Azores and the Regional Government of the Azores), which were taken into account and contributed to the improvement of the Regulation.
The publication of the regulation in the 2nd series of the Diário da República (Official Journal of Portugal) was also decided.
