On 26 April 2018, ANACOM implemented Decision 2017/1483/EU of 8 August 2017, amending Decision 2006/771/EChttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=987402, on the harmonisation of the radio spectrum for use by short-range devices and repealing Decision 2006/804/EC, according to information provided in the eNTFA - Frequency Portal.
Decision 2017/1483 is to replace the Annex to Decision 2006/771/EC with the text of its own Annex and to repeal Decision 2006/804/EC with effect from 1 January 2018. The Decision further states that, by 2 May 2018, Member States shall submit a report on the application of the Decision to the European Commission.
The revision of the Decision allows new opportunities for low-power and short-range devices as well as the updating of the spectrum usage conditions by these devices in the 863-868 MHz band.
