On 15 September 2017, ANACOM approved a final decision on the objectives of postal network density and the minimum offers of services provided by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT), pursuant to paragraph 5 of Base XV of Bases of the Universal Postal Service Concession.
Since ANACOM considered that the objectives and rules governing postal network density and minimum offers of services, as submitted by CTT, did not yet correspond to the needs of users under the current legal framework, as regards the proposed indicators and targets for the opening hours of postal establishments, ANACOM established objectives and rules to govern the density of the postal network and minimum offers of services to be provided by CTT between 1 October 2017 and 30 September 2020.
Approval was also given to the report on the prior hearing of CTT and the consultation of users to which the respective draft decision of 27 July 2017https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1416440 was submitted.
