The Task Force on Strategy (TF Strategy) of the ECC working group on Numbering and Networks (WG NaN) held a meeting last 7-8 September in Sintra, Portugal.
Various aspects of the operating and performance strategy of WG NaN and its dependent project teams (PTs) were discussed. One topic examined concerned eventual (re)organisation of the working groups to adjust their work to new technological and innovation challenges in the electronic communication sector.
Also identified were potential topics for the different PTs (FNI Future Numbering Issues, NP Number Portability, TRIS Technical Regulatory Issues and ES Emergency Services) to work on in the future.
The Task Force also evaluated the operating strategy to be followed by WG NaN for the review of community directives and the eventual need to produce reports.
