ERG/IRG - Public consultation on bistream access

/ Updated on 18.07.2008

By joint initiative of the European Regulators Group (ERG) and the Independent Regulators Group (IRG) a public consultation on bistream and its respective regulatory framework is in progress, until 31 August.

The Independent Regulators Group, created in 1997 and integrating the National Regulatory Authorities (NRA) of the present fifteen member-States, of the adhesion countries, of the European Economic Space countries and Switzerland, works as an informal discussion forum and sharing of information on the telecommunications sector, such as interconnection, prices, universal service and other current issues in the scope of the regulation and development of the European telecommunications market.

The ERG, created in July 2002, is a body of reflection, debate and advice of the European Commission, with a view to consolidation of the internal market for electronic communications networks and services, assuming the role of privileged interlocutor between the national regulatory authorities and the Commission.

Comments should be sent until 31 August 2003, in electronic version, to 'salonso@cmt.es' or 'infso-A1@cec.eu.int'.
