Markets for low bandwidth switched fixed services - Relevant markets definition and SMP assessment
On 8 March 2004, ANACOM's Board of Directors approved the draft decisions concerning the definition of retail and wholesale relevant markets for switched low bandwidth fixed services and the SMP assessment on those markets:
- Markets for narrowband access to the public telephone network in a fixed location – Definition of relevant markets and SMP assessment;
- Markets for publicly available telephone services in a fixed location – Definition of relevant markets and SMP assessment;
- Markets for call origination and termination in the public telephone network in a fixed location – Definition of relevant markets and SMP assessment.
Interested parties were notified to, within 30 working days, give their views on this draft decision, in accordance with the provisions contained in articles 100 and 101 of the Administrative Procedural Code.
The National Competition Authority was also notified to give its expert opinion concerning the relevant market definitions and the SMP assessments, within 30 days, pursuant to article 61 of Law no. 5/2004, of 10 February Electronic Communications Law - Regicom),
This draft decision was also submitted to public consultation, for the same period of time, in accordance with the general consultation procedure contained in article 8 of the same Law and with the subsequent consultation procedures adopted by ANACOM.
