Under the framework of the National e-Procurement Program, ANACOM held for the second time on its premises, on 13 December 2005, an electronic procurement auction regarding office material - paper stationary and reprographic material. It had the support of the company TradeForum, both in administrative issues and in the provision of the electronic platform.
The type of auction chosen was the “decreasing English”, in which the lowest bid wins. 8 previously selected specialized companies participated and 136 articles were auctioned for consumption during the year 2006.
The opening price was of € 53,900.00 and the value of the last bid was € 29,700.00, resulting in savings of € 24,200.00 for ANACOM, i.e., 44.9%.
The first auction had taken place on 8 July 2004, also aimed at office material – paper stationary and reprographic material – and had the support of TradeForum. In this case, 118 articles were auctioned, with the opening price of € 43,376.00 and the last bid’s value on € 30,126.00, resulting in a €13,250.00 saving for ANACOM, i.e., 30.55%
The date for new auctions has not been set yet but this project is expected to be extended to other areas during 2006.
This dynamic negotiation of prices, on ANACOM’s exclusive initiative, follows the above mentioned National e-Procurement Program and all that several bodies of the State’s central and local administrations have done so far on this matter.
