The Body of European Regulators in Electronic Communications (BEREC) has approved a new data specification model with respect to roaming on the public telephone networks of the European Union (EU), which have to be completed and sent to ANACOM at dee.stats@anacom.ptmailto:dee.stats@anacom.pt no later than 30 July 2010.
This sixth data specification model which is to be used by National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) to compile information from mobile operators working in their countries, covers two quarters between 1 January and 20 June 2010. Each NRA will combine the information it receives from national operators and then forward it to BEREC.
The information on this six month period will complement information obtained through the fifth specification model (referring to April/December 2009) and allow BEREC to present findings with reference to a complete year of the current roaming regulation's application, for consideration in the final report which the European Commission is due to present to the European parliament by 30 June 2011.
