BWA auction - ANACOM endorses Committee proposal to allocate frequencies to Bravesensor and to Onitelecom


By determination of 28 April, ANACOM decided to endorse the proposal, submitted by the Auction Committee, to allocate rights of use of frequencies for BWA to Bravesensor - Unipessoal, Lda. and Onitelecom - Infocomunicações, S.A..

Accordingly Bravesensor was allocated the right of use of frequencies for BWA in the following geographic zones, as defined in Annex 1 to the Auction Regulation:

i) Geographic zone 1:
(1) 3441-3469 MHz and 3541-3569 MHz
(2) 3472-3500 MHz and 3572-3600 MHz
(3) 3602-3630 MHz and 3702-3730 MHz
 
ii) Geographic zone 2:
(1) 3441-3469 MHz and 3541-3569 MHz
(2) 3472-3500 MHz and 3572-3600 MHz
 
iii) Geographic zone 3:
(1) 3472-3500 MHz and 3572-3600 MHz
 
iv) Geographic zone 4:
(1) 3472-3500 MHz and 3572-3600 MHz
 
v) Geographic zone 5:
(1) 3472-3500 MHz and 3572-3600 MHz
 
vi) Geographic zone 6:
(1) 3472-3500 MHz and 3572-3600 MHz
 
vii) Geographic zone 7:
(1) 3472-3500 MHz and 3572-3600 MHz
 
viii) Geographic zone 8:
(1) 3472-3500 MHz and 3572-3600 MHz

Likewise, Onitelecom was allocated the right of use of frequencies for BWA in the following geographic zones, also as defined in Annex 1 to the Auction Regulation:

i) Geographic zone 1:
(1) 3664-3692 MHz and 3764-3792 MHz
 
ii) Geographic zone 2:
(1) 3664-3692 MHz and 3764-3792 MHz
 
iii) Geographic zone 3:
(1) 3664-3692 MHz and 3764-3792 MHz
 
iv) Geographic zone 4:
(1) 3664-3692 MHz and 3764-3792 MHz
 
v) Geographic zone 5:
(1) 3664-3692 MHz and 3764-3792 MHz
 
vi) Geographic zone 6:
(1) 3664-3692 MHz and 3764-3792 MHz
 
vii) Geographic zone 7:
(1) 3664-3692 MHz and 3764-3792 MHz.

In compliance with the obligation set out in article 31, paragraph 1 of the Auction Regulation, the companies concerned are now required to make a deposit corresponding to the final price payable, whereby Bravesensor shall deposit two million two hundred and fifty thousand euros, and Onitelecom shall deposit one million two hundred thousand euros.

Meanwhile, ANACOM has also decided to amend the National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP), as currently in force, in order to reflect the outcomes of this determination.
