ANACOM has notified the European Commission of the measures proposed in the scope of the market of transit services in the fixed public telephone network (market 10) and of the measures adopted for the market of voice call termination on individual mobile networks (market 16).
The European Commission and the national regulatory authorities (NRA) of the remaining member States are now given one month to assess the proposal concerning market 10.
The market definition and the assessment of significant market power in this market were approved by determination of 25 February 2005, being requested on the same date the opinion of the Competition Authority and also launched the consultation of interested parties.
As far as market 16 is concerned, the respective measures were likewise adopted on 25 February 2005, having the decision been preceded by the applicable consultation procedures, following the determination dated 21 December 2004.
