The single bidding round of the assignment stage of the BWA Auction, held from 1st to 3rd March 2010, has been won by Bravesensor, Unipessoal, Lda. (Bravesensor).
The result of this round determines that Bravesensor obtains lots A, B (both in the lower sub-band) and C (upper sub-band) in geographic zone 1, and lots A and B (lower sub-band) in geographic zone 2.
A ONITELECOM - Infocomunicações, S. A. (Onitelecom), obtains lot D (upper sub-band) in geographic zone 1, and lot C or D (upper sub-band) in geographic zone 2.
In view of the results of the bidding round of the assignment stage, and pursuant to paragraph 3 of article 27 of the Auction Regulation, a draw will need to be held to determine the position in the list of priorities with the aim of making the selection of lots in geographic zones 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
In addition, a selection of lots will have to be made in zone 2 by Onitelecom and in zone 8 by Bravesensor, seeing that, under the terms of the regulation, there is no need for these zones to be included in the draw.
ANACOM has also announced that the public act of the draw will take place on 15 March 2010 at 12pm, at its head office at Avenida José Malhoa, 14 (2nd floor), in Lisbon.
The BWA Auction Committee has established the following deadlines for notification to be made with respect to the selected lots:
- 5pm on 17 March, for the bidder in first place on the list of priorities;
- 5pm on 19 March, for the bidder in second place on the list of priorities.
