Under the terms and for the purposes of paragraph a) of point 3 of article 27 of Decree-Law no. 192/2000, of August 18, the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal hereby makes known the following:
1 - Radio equipment that, under the terms of the aforementioned legal diploma may be placed in the market and placed in service without restrictions is classified as "class 1" equipment.
2 - The equipment class specified in point 1 is not attributed any equipment class identifier.
3 - Radio equipment that may be placed in the market subject to the restrictions specified in point 2 of article 16, or whose placement in service is restricted in accordance with the terms of article 12, is classified as "class 2" equipment.
4 - The equipment class specified in point 3 is attributed the following equipment class identifier:
