ETSI events

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), which celebrates, in 2003, 15 years of existence, is holding a series of four seminars, financed by the European Commission, dedicated to mobile services and aiming at helping companies to apply the mobile technology to the respective businesses:

1 - Mobile Services and e-Banking, Rotterdam, 12 February

2 - Mobilizing Business, London, 28 February

3 - M-Commerce, Stockholm, 12 March

4 - ETSI M-Commerce Project, Sophia Antipolis, 27 March

In order to follow-up the celebrations of the European Year of People with Disabilities, they are also organizing the conference "Accessibility to everyone" which aims at disclosing the standardization role in the accessibility of products and services, the new standardization requirements and its impact in the technologies world.  The conference will be held on 27 and 28 March, in Nice (Acropolis Convention Center).

ETSI is an European standardization organization which mission is to produce European standards in the telecommunications area, being involved also in pre-standardization and standardization activities in the areas of information technologies and TV and sound broadcasting. This organization came from the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations  (CEPT) and became formally independent in 1988.
