Price of Fixed Telephone Service (FTS) calls originated on the PT network and terminated on the networks of other FTS providers (V)
Following previous deliberations regarding prices for direct access telephone communications, originated on the network of PT Comunicações, S.A. (PTC) and terminated on the networks of other FTS providers, and upon deliberation of 5 July 2001, the Board of Directors of ICP has decided the following:
i. Not to oppose the coming into effect of the following price proposals for the aforementioned calls:
a) Tariff system for subscriber phones in force up until 05/02/01;
b) Tariff system for subscriber phones in force as from 06/02/01;
c) Tariff system for public payphones in force throughout 2001;
ii. That PTC must at once implement the tariff system applicable to these types of calls, namely with regard to calls made from public payphones, taking into account the safeguarding of users' interests;
iii. That PTC must adequately disseminate divulge the conditions regarding the offer of these type of calls, under the terms of the current legislation;
iv. Grouping tariff systems per operator, which arises from bringing together traffic profiles, is only justifiable if its is found that this grouping contributes significantly toward simplifying the tariff system, and if the resultant advantages outweigh the potential disadvantages;
v. The tariff systems approved for 2001 may be duly adjusted as a result of changes to the components forming these systems, in accordance with the deliberation of 3 November 2000 regarding this matter.
