New code for utility services at an increased tariff rate

By determination of 9 September 2004, draft decision regarding the implementation of the “71” code in the National Numbering Plan to accommodate the utility services at an increased tariff rate was approved. It was also decided to submit this measure to the general consultation procedure, pursuant to article 8 of the Electronic Communications Law.

Being a draft decision, this measure was also submitted to prior hearing of the interested parties, pursuant to articles 100 and 101 of the Rules of Administrative Procedure, a maximum 20-day deadline being given for them to submit their opinion.

Taking into account the consequences that this decision may have in the interests of consumers, it was also decided to ask the Consumers’ Institute, DECO, FENACOOP and UGC to give their opinion within the same deadline.
