Imposition of obligations in the wholesale markets for call origination and termination in the public telephone network at a fixed location

By determination of 17 December 2004, the obligations to be imposed in the wholesale markets for call origination and termination in the public telephone network at a fixed location to undertakings identified as possessing significant market power (SMP) in such markets (which correspond to markets 8 and 9 of the Commission Recommendation no. 2003/311/EC, of 11 February 2003) were approved, that is: regarding market 8, the undertakings of the PT Group operating therein; regarding market 9, all operators of the fixed network operating in that market.

The measures now adopted shall be duly notified, pursuant to applicable law, to the European Commission.

The respective consultation report, launched by ANACOM on 26 July 2004, following the determination of 15 July, was likewise approved.
