Number Portability - Countermanding legal proceedings

After the deliberations taken on 7 February 2002, and following the complaints made by ONITELECOM - Infocomunicações, S.A., and by Cabovisão - Sociedade de Televisão por Cabo, S.A., within the scope of number portability, it was decided that two administrative penalty lawsuits will be filed against PT Comunicações, S.A. (PTC), for breach of Article 10, nº 1, of the Decree-Law nº 474/99, of 8 December, embodied by the non-fulfillment of the obligation to ensure the offer of a fixed telephone service in a regular and continuous manner.
