Negotiation of interconnection agreements between Oniway and Optimus and between Oniway and Vodafone
By determination of 27 of June of 2002, adopted as a result of the previous resolution dated June 20, 2002, the following was clarified:
Whereas:
a) GPRS services may generally be perceived as a forefront of UMTS services, thereby contributing to innovation and promotion of the global and sustained development of the sector;
b) From the user perspective, it is mainly important to ensure access to a complete range of services, the number of possibilities associated with the "3rd generation" being anticipated;
c) In view of the natural expectations of users, they are mainly interested in a complete commercial services supply, regardless of the type of traffic (circuit switching or packet switching), without which it is not possible or desirable GPRS services development;
The conditions to be observed in the interconnection agreements under negotiation between Oniway - Infocomunicações, S.A. and Optimus - Telecomunicações, S.A. and between Oniway - Infocomunicações, S.A. and Vodafone Telecel - Comunicações
Pessoais, S.A. should consider - all types of traffic, regardless of the associated technology, thereby covering circuit switching and packet switching.
It was also decided to extend the deadline contained in the previous determination of 20 of June till 1 of July of 2002.
