Fixed telephone networks and/or fixed telephone service market (Preliminary Statement)

A preliminary statement on significant market power (SMP) in the fixed telephone networks and/or fixed telephone service market for 2001 was approved on November 22nd, which led to a request for the opinion of the Directorate General for Trade and Competition. Under the terms of Article 3 of the Regulations for the Operation of the Fixed Telephone Service (FTS), it is the responsibility of the ICP, after receiving the said opinion, to determine and annually state which entities have significant market power in the above market.
