ANACOM is holding a public consultation on the draft regulation amending Regulation No 697/2019https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1496233 of 5 September, which defines the rules and establishes the procedures applicable to the regime of access to and exercise of space activities.
The purpose of this draft regulation is to bring the aforementioned Regulation into line with the amendments introduced by Decree-Law No 20/2024https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1773528 of 2 February, in particular with regard to:
a) The procedure for issuing prequalification certificates for space activities;
b) The procedure for granting licences for space activities, including launch centre operations, and criteria for assessing the conditions for
granting such licenses;
c) The elements subject to registration with the Space Authority;
d) The transfer of ownership of space objects.
Stakeholders can submit contributions until 6 September 2024, in writing and in Portuguese, preferably by email to the following address reg.espaco@anacom.ptmailto:reg.espaco@anacom.pt.
Once the consultation process is complete, the contributions received will be published, so interested parties should also send a redacted version of the elements considered confidential for publication on this website.
