By decision of the Chairman of the Board Directors of 6 May (ratified by decision of the Board of Directors of 11 May 2022), approval was given to the granting of the request submitted by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT) to deduct records affected by the COVID-19 pandemic during the second half of 2021, for the purposes of calculating the quality of service indicators (QSI) for 2021.
As such, in response to CTT's request, the request to deduct records referring to waiting time, measured between 1 July and 31 December 2021, as well as records relating to the following items shipped in the same period, was granted:
- non-priority mail, non-priority bulk mail, parcels and newspapers and periodicals with more than weekly periodicity, throughout the national territory;
- priority mail, registered mail and newspapers and periodicals with weekly periodicity or less, on Mainland – Azores – Madeira routes;
- priority mail, registered mail and newspapers and periodicals with weekly periodicity or less on Mainland routes.
ANACOM also decided to waive the prior hearing of CTT, pursuant to point f) of paragraph 1 of article 124 of Código do Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code).
