ANACOM monitored and provided support at the World RallyCross WRX 2021 Championship, which took place on 16 and 17 October 2021 in Montalegre. Within its areas of competence, ANACOM allocated resources to guarantee the highest quality of communications for the event in terms emergency communications and communications for security and safety teams, while seeking to ensure the quality of communications for the event's organisation, for its participants and for the media covering the event.
Monitoring work was carried out on the radio spectrum in Montalegre, supported by teams and equipment capable of detecting any interference and locating sources of interference by radio-determination.
The work on radio licencing, carried out prior to the event was essential for the event's success. 50 frequencies were assigned, distributed among applications such as wireless cameras, emitter microphones, security networks and sensors.

Also in October, as part of its radio spectrum oversight and monitoring activities, ANACOM was also present at the F2 Power Boat World Championship held in Baião, as part of its mission detecting, locating and eliminating sources of interference in radio communications.
