The 24th Congress of the Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal (UPAEP) will take place from 18 to 22 October 2021 in Curaçao. ANACOM will ensure the Portuguese delegation.
The Congress agenda includes, besides general and administrative matters such as UPAEP’s endorsement of the World Postal Strategy of Abidjan or the approval of UPAEP’s budget, a High Level Conference on “The Postal Sector in the Digital Era”, whose panel on “The Postal Market for the Population” will be moderated by João Cadete de Matos, Chairman of ANACOM’s Board of Directors.
It is also worthy of note that elections are being held for the new UPAEP Secretary General and for the six members of the Management Committee, a body that supports the UPAEP Consultative and Executive Council. Maurício Rojas, from Costa Rica, Modesto Guzmán, from the Dominican Republic, and Franklin Castro, from El Salvador, are running for Secretary General.
