As part of its activity of supporting the Portuguese Government, ANACOM participated in the last EMEA Submarine Networks Conference held in London on the 2nd and 3rd of September 2021.
Within the scope of promoting Portugal for the landing international submarine cables, as well as for interconnection and data storage services, contacts were promoted with Operators, OTT, manufacturers and suppliers, among others during the Conference. Various entities contributed to the promotion of Portugal during the Conference, such as AICEP Global Parques, ADRAL, ALTICE, ELLALINK and Afr-Ix (Medusa).
At the end of the Conference, ANACOM (José Barros) made a presentation on how Portugal is about to contribute to the constitution of the EU Atlantic Data-Gateway Platform.
