The annual session of the Advisory and Executive Council of the UPAEP took place on 20 and 22 October 2020 by videoconference, in an atmosphere marked by cordiality, a smooth flow of discussions and agile decision-making.
In his opening remarks, UPAEP Secretary-General Roberto Cavanna praised Portugal and ANACOM in particular for its repeated participation in the work of the UPAEP, its spirit of cooperation, the donation of part of Portugal’s aliquot to benefit cooperation projects and also for the recently announced contribution for the UPAEP philatelic gallery.
The Council, whose mission is to assure the UPAEP’s management during the period between congresses, approved the following:
- various financial reports, among them the budget and the respective action plan for 2021;
- measures and projects for technical cooperation (main goal of the UPAEP’s activity) such as, for example, the regional actions framed in the Istanbul World Postal Strategy and in the Regional Development Plan for Latin America;
- the reports from the various UPAEP working groups.
