The January/February 2020 issue of the bimonthly Spectru bulletin reports on the start of the nationwide process of altering the digital terrestrial television (DTT) transmitter network on 7 February in Sines. Other highlights regarding DTT include the approval of a precautionary measure for prior prohibition of unfair commercial practices, the meeting with the Inter-Municipal Communities and the signing of a protocol between ANACOM and the National Association of Civil Parishes to establish the terms for working together to support the population.
Also noteworthy is the set of measures adopted by ANACOM to create conditions for 5G, among them the draft regulation of the auction to allocate frequency usage rights in the 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2.1 GHz, 2.6 GHz and 3.6 GHz frequency bands.
