By decision of 6 February 2020, ANACOM has granted NOS Comunicações a waiver from the requirement to remit the amount of its contribution to the Universal Service Compensation Fund in respect of the Net Costs of Universal Service (NCUS) of 2018. This waiver was granted because the value of the company's required contribution is exceeded by the value of compensation that the company is entitled to receive as provider of the universal service (PSU) of connection to a public communications network at a fixed location and of the publicly available telephone service.
