ANACOM's Activities Plan for the three-year period 2019-2021 established the priority action of preparing and submitting to the Government the draft legislation transposing the review of the European regulatory framework applicable to electronic communications.
Moreover, the Assistant Secretary of State and for Communications requested this Authority, under its statutory powers and duties of assistance to the Government, to prepare a draft transposition of Directive (EU) 2018/1972 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 11.12.2018https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1464945, which establishes the European Electronic Communications Code.
In this regard, ANACOM, considering that it is extremely important to collect the contributions, reflections and concerns of all the stakeholders in the different themes covered by this Code, launches this public hearing procedure. Contributions in the Portuguese language should be submitted electronically through the corresponding page available on ANACOM's websitehttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1495902, by 23 December 2019.
The contributions will be appraised in the context of the work in progress for the preparation of the draft bill to be submitted to the Government, and may be published on this Authority's website, safeguarding information of confidential nature, which, for this reason, should be clearly indicated and substantiated by the participants.
