ANACOM is organising a workshop, to be held on 25 November, at SANA Malhoa Hotel, in Lisbon, on the second generation of funds related to the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF2). The CEF2 initiative will be launched in 2021, covering the period of 2021-2027, with a proposed estimated budget of 42.3 billion euros (of which three billion euros in the digital area).
At this workshop, experts of the European Commission (EC) will demonstrate the connectons between possible CEF funding in the digital area and the priorities of developing high-speed broadband in Portugal, and will also identify opportunities and procedures so that any interested entities in Portugal can optimise the use of these Community funds.
Alongside this, the main priorities will be presented relative to the national strategy for very high-speed broadband, especially in the sphere of submarine cables (international and Mainland Portugal-Azores-Madeira connectivity) and coverage/access in rural and peripheral regions.
Participation is free of charge and open to anyone who may be interested, but is subject to prior registration, up to 20 November, by completion of the form online.
