Brussels hosted last 2 July a meeting of BEREC’s expert working group on Planning and Future Trends (PFT EWG), concerning the study on “Investment determinants in very-high capacity networks”.
The meeting was accompanied by a workshop in which the group of consultants selected to conduct the study also participated. The progress and current state of the project’s various aspects were presented at the session: review of the literature, interviews with market players and development of system dynamics models. The national regulatory authorities actively participated in discussion of the project’s next steps and in the identification of risks associated to each of the respective aspects, for which mitigation actions were determined.
According to the project calendar, the end product of this phase (phase I) should be presented at the September 2019 meeting of the BEREC Contact Network.
