The drafters of the BEREC expert working group on Statistics and Indicators (SAI EWG) held a meeting last 26 March in Brussels, focusing on geographical surveys of network deployments.
SAI EWG is responsible for the project on geographical surveys of network deployments set out in the BEREC working plan for 2019 in the scope of strategic priority 1 on “responding to connectivity challenges and to new conditions for access to high-capacity networks”, in particular section 1.9, “Guidelines for geographical surveys of network deployments”, defining the project for “BEREC Guidelines to assist NRAs in consistent application of geographical surveys of network deployments”.
This meeting basically served to discuss how to develop and scope the project proposal document, including the topics to consider and the level of ambition BEREC should have for the project, along with finalisation of a questionnaire meant to analyse current practices regarding the collection of information about fixed and mobile networks.
