ECC WG NaN met last 21-23 May in Ljubljana, at the invitation of the Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia (AKOS), that country’s national regulator.
The main aim of this working group is to develop rules and plans for national and international numbering, promoting their harmonised development in Europe. It also has the mission of verifying the impacts technological changes may have on regulation.
At this meeting, the following reports were adopted for publication after the respective public consultation:
- ECC Report 300 - A country-by-country analysis on defining PSAP-side statistics to quantify the effectiveness of emergency caller location information received for mobile calls;
- ECC Report 301 - Provision of caller location information from private/corporate networks.
The following recommendation was also approved for public consultation:
- ECC Recommendation (19)xx - measures for increasing trust in calling line identification and originating identification.
After this recommendation was drawn up, revocation of the following recommendation was approved:
- ECC Recommendation (11)02 - calling line identification and originating identification.
Also approved was the renaming of the four current working group of WG NaN, which will henceforth have the following structure:
