ANACOM, as the regulatory authority for space, and in the context of the ongoing public consultation procedure, organized a workshop to discuss the draft regulation on space activities. The event took place on 5 July 2019, at 2:30 p.m., at FPC - Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações (Portuguese Communications Foundation) in Lisbon.
The Draft Regulation aims to ensure the optimisation of resources and simple, fast and effective procedures in relation to space activities. This will minimise the administrative burden on companies and facilitate access by the largest number of operators interested in the exercise of space activities in Portugal, while at the same time providing a high level of stringency in terms of safeguarding security interests, preventing damage and reducing the environmental impact of these activities.
