On 6 June 2019, ANACOM approved the 2018 Annual Report and Accounts of the Universal Service Compensation Fund for electronic communications, in accordance with the provisions of LCE - Lei da Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=975162) and of Lei do Fundo (Fund Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1136652).
As the managing body of the Universal Service Compensation Fund, ANACOM is responsible for preparing two reports:
- one in fulfilment of article 98 of the LCE and of point d), paragraph 1, article 4 of Lei do Fundo (Fund Law), setting out the calculated cost of the universal service obligations and indicating the contributions to be made by all obliged undertakings; and
- another in compliance with article 3, paragraphs 5 and 6 of Lei do Fundo (Fund Law), setting out the accounts and financial statements of the Universal Service Compensation Fund.
With this document, ANACOM fulfils both legal obligations for the 2018 period.
