ANACOM participates in the 27th Conference on Postal and Delivery Economics


João Cadete de Matos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ANACOM and of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP), participated as a keynote speaker, in the roundtable on regulation at the “27th Conference on Postal and Delivery Economics”, which took place from 22 to 25 May 2019 in Dublin (Ireland).

Sandro Mendonça, Member of the Board of Directors of ANACOM, also spoke on the theme of indicators in the session on the evolution of the postal sector.

In addition, ANACOM's staff presented papers on the following topics:

  • “Postal Users’ Needs” (Agostinho Franco and José Godinho).
  • “Postal traffic in Portugal: applying time series modelling” (Carla Machado and Filipa Silva).

This conference, organised by the Florence School of Regulation, in collaboration with the Center for Research in Regulated Industries of Rutgers Business School, discussed, among other things, e-commerce and the market power of mega digital platforms, as well as the role of data as an intangible infrastructure.
