By decision of 14 March 2019, ANACOM approved the regulation on security and integrity of electronic communications networks and serviceshttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?categoryId=409005.
The report for public consultation was also approved, having been the second draft regulationhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1457378, of 6 July 2018, a procedure under which contributions were received, by the deadline, from the following entities: APDSI - Associação para a Promoção e Desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação (Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society); APRITEL - Associação dos Operadores de Comunicações Eletrónicas (Association of Electronic Communications Operators); DRPI (Regional Directorate of Heritage and Information Technology of the Regional Government of the Autonomous Region of Madeira; EDP Distribuição Energia; EMGFA (General Staff of Armed Forces); FIBROGLOBAL - Comunicações Eletrónicas; National Security Office/National Cybersecurity); MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia; NOS Group (NOS Comunicações, NOS Açores Comunicações and NOS Madeira Comunicações); NOWO Communications and ONITELECOM Infocomunicações; Orange Business Portugal; RENTELECOM Comunicações; and Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais.
It was also decided that the regulation should be published in the 2nd series of Diário da República.
