1st meeting CPG PTC - Copenhagen

The first meeting of project team C (PTC) of the Conference Preparatory Group (CPG 19) was held last 27-29 September in Copenhagen, chaired by Martin Weber of Germany and attended by 30 participants from national regulatory authorities, international organisations and industry.

PTC is responsible for discussing and proposing to CPG 19 positions to defend at the 2019 World Radiocommunication Conference with respect to items it is responsible for in the scope of CEPT/CPG (1.8, 1.9.1, 1.9.2, 1.19 and 9.1.4), concerning maritime and aeronautic issues. This first meeting considered the substance of each topic, though on a very preliminary basis. Several questions regarding the organisation/functioning of PTC were also cleared up.

Proposed briefs referring to all items under discussion in PTC were presented and examined. The project team approved new initial versions of them to be submitted to the CPG for consideration/approval, including some recent results from study groups of the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) and preliminary positions from other regional or international organisations.

European common proposals have not yet been put forward regarding the items under PTC’s responsibility.

The next PTC CPG meeting will be held from 31 January to 2 February 2017.
