By decision of 27 October 2016, ANACOM approved the results of auditing the net costs of the universal service from MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO), for the 2014 financial year (the period prior to designation of the universal service provider by public tender).

Also approved was the report on the prior hearing and public consultation concerning the draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1393453 approved on 10 August 2016, proceedings in which contributions were received from MEO; NOS Comunicações, NOS Açores Comunicações and NOS Madeira Comunicações; and Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais.
