On 25 May 2016, ANACOM approved the 2015 annual report and accounts of the electronic communications universal service compensation fund, in accordance with the provisions of LCE - Lei da Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=975162) and Lei do Fundo (Law governing the Fundhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1136652).
As the managing entity of the universal service fund, ANACOM is required to prepare two reports:
- one report as required under article 98 of LCE and under article 4, paragraph 1, point d) of the Lei do Fundo (Law governing the fund), setting out the calculated cost of universal service obligations and detailing the contributions made by all the companies involved (Sections 2 and 3);
- another report in compliance with article 3, paragraphs 5 and 6 of Lei do Fundo (Law governing the Fund), with the accounts and financial statements of the Universal Service Compensation Fund (Sections 4 and 5).
This document therefore accomplishes both legal obligations for the 2015 period, comprising the first reports prepared by ANACOM in this context.
