Draft decision on the wholesale broadcast market for delivery of content to end-users

By decision of 22 July 2015, ANACOM has approved a draft decision on the wholesale broadcast market for delivery of content to end-users, as regards the definition of product and geographic markets, assessment of significant market power (SMP) and the imposition, maintenance, amendment or withdrawal of regulatory obligations.

It was decided to submit this draft decision to the prior hearing of interested parties, in accordance with articles 100 and 101 of the Código de Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code), and also to the general consultation procedure set forth in article 8 of LCE - Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicashttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=975162 (Electronic Communications Law). In both cases, interested parties are given a period 30 working days to comment. Comments should be made in writing and in Portuguese.

The draft decisions were also referred to Autoridade da Concorrência (Portuguese Competition Authority) for an opinion, in accordance with applicable law.
