Approval of model declarations of ITED and ITUR design responsibility and execution responsibility

By decision of 15 January 2015, ANACOM has approved new model declarations of design responsibility and execution responsibility, with regard to ITED - infraestruturas de telecomunicações em edifícios (telecommunications infrastructure in buildings) and ITUR - infraestruturas de telecomunicações em loteamentos, urbanizações e conjuntos de edifícios (telecommunications infrastructure in housing developments, urban settlements and concentrations of buildings), as amended and adapted following the adoption and entry into force of the new ITED (3rd edition) and ITUR (2nd edition) manuals.

These declarations are essential to enshrine the responsibility of design technicians and installers in complying with applicable legal and technical rules, as well as in ensuring connection to the public network by service providers, given that connection is only possible according to such terms (in accordance with article 43, paragraph 4, and article 76, paragraph 4, of Decree-Law no. 123/2009 of 21 May, as amended by Law no. 47/2013 of 10 July).

ANACOM is charged with the approval of these models, in accordance with article 36, paragraph 3, article 43, paragraph 3, article 66, paragraph 3 and article 76, paragraph 3, of the same law.
