Universal postal service quality of service parameters and consultation on the definition of values for the indicator on registered mail transit time

By decision of 30 December 2014, ANACOM has determined the setting of quality of service parameters and performance targets associated with provision of the universal postal service, with the exception of the values for the quality of service indicator (QSI) on registered mail transit time.

In terms of this indicator (QSI11), approval was given to a draft decision on the definition of minimum and target values of 89 and 91 percent respectively, to be applied in 2016 and 2017. This draft decision is submitted to the prior hearing of CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT), the hearing of consumer organisations and the public consultation procedure, whereby interested parties are given a period of 20 working days to comment.

ANACOM also approved the report on the prior hearing of interested parties, the hearing of consumer organisations and the consultation to which the draft decision was submitted - draft decision on quality of service parameters and performance targets associated with provision of the universal postal service, as approved on 1 August 2014. In response to these procedures, contributions were received from APImprensa - Associação Portuguesa de Imprensa (Portuguese Press Association), CTT, DECO - Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection) and from Fernando S. Barreira.
