Revenues from bundles of services jump 11.4% versus 2013

In 3rd quarter 2014, there were 2.8 million subscribers to bundled offers in Portugal, giving an increase of 3.1% over the previous quarter and an increase of 10.5% year-on-year. This increase in the number of subscribers (85 thousand) is the highest recorded in 10 quarters.

While other bundle combinations saw a decline in subscribers, triple/quadruple and quintuple-play combinations were the bundles responsible for the growth reported, with customer numbers increasing by 4.9% over the quarter to 2.3 million.

These bundles already represent 81% of all bundled offers. The most commonly used bundle is the triple-play bundle (50.1%), followed by quintuple-play bundles as the second most commonly used combination (28.2%) and as the only combination to increase in terms of relative weight.

About 71 out of every 100 private households were receiving multiple-play bundles during the period being reported, 6.9 points more than in the same quarter of 2013.

Revenues from bundles of services totalled approximately 847 million euros, increasing 11.4% versus the same period of 2013. Average monthly revenue per subscriber was reported at 34.41 euros, increasing 2.2% versus the same period of 2013.
