Price-elasticity of consumption demand of retirees and pensioners in assessment of CLSU (net costs of universal service)

On 25 November 2011, ANACOM approved the document, "Price-elasticity of consumption demand of retirees and pensioners in assessment of CLSU (net costs of universal service)", subsequent to determinations of 9 June and 29 August 2011 on the methodology to be used in calculating CLSU (net costs of universal service) of electronic communications.

Taking the content of this document into account, by determination of 29 December 2011, ANACOM's Management Board decided, on a provisional and preliminary basis, to accept the CLSU values presented by PT Comunicações for the 2007-2009 period. This preliminary assessment is without prejudice to the final decision pending with regard to the years in question, which can be approved only following the results of the audit to be conducted by an independent body, as determined in section 3 of the determination of 9 June 2011.
