Regulation of the auction to allocate rights of use of frequencies in the 450, 800, 900 and 1800 MHz and 2.1 and 2.6GHz bands - closure of the consultation

By determination of 13 July 2011, ANACOM has approved the report of the pubic consultation on the first draft of the Regulation of the auction to allocate rights of use of frequencies in the 450 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2.1 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands.

Since the comments of interested parties have led to significant changes in the First Draft Regulation, ANACOM has deemed it necessary to re-submit the draft to the consultation procedure and to prepare a new draft regulation, separate and distinct from the first, which will be submitted to the regulatory consultation procedure laid down in article 11 of the Statutes of ANACOM for a period of 30 working days.

Approval was likewise given to the report of the general consultation procedure to which the draft Regulation, approved on 17 March 2011, was submitted and in which context responses were received from the following undertakings: ACOP - Associação de Consumidores de Portugal (Portugal Consumers Association), Cabovisão, FENACOOP - Federação Nacional das Cooperativas de Consumidores (Federation of Portuguese Consumption Co-operatives), Grupo Media Capital, Grupo Portugal Telecom (on behalf of and representing Portugal Telecom SGPS, PT Comunicações, PT Prime and TMN), Grupo ZON Multimédia (comprising ZON TV Cabo, ZON TV Cabo Madeirense and ZON TV Cabo Açoreana), MobiZAPP, Optimus and Vodafone Portugal.
