Electronic Commerce - Register of intermediary networking service providers


The register form for intermediary networking service providers – Model 075 ANACOM -, associated with the procedure provided for in Decree-Law no. 7/2004, of 7 January, has already been made available.
 
This statutory instrument provides that “intermediary networking service providers who wish to pursue steadily the activity in Portugal shall previously register with the central supervisory entity” – ANACOM (articles 4, paragraph 4 and article 35, paragraph 2). Intermediary networking service providers mean “the providers that render technical services for the access, availability and use of online information or services, which are independent of the generation of the information or service themselves” (article 4, paragraph 5).
 
The referred register is carried out by filling up this form, available on a physical medium at the Public Enquiry Services of ANACOM, and in electronic form at the Online Services of this website.
 
The filled register form may be delivered in person, at the referred Public Enquiry Services, or by post, fax or electronic mail, and may also be submitted directly at the Online Services.
 
Providers who are subject also to the register procedure provided for in Law no. 5/2004, of 10 February (Electronic Communications Law) are not legally bound to submit the particulars already sent to ANACOM in compliance with that legal obligation. On the other hand, entities that have notified the launch of their activity to ANACOM, in compliance with this statutory instrument, shall attach to the register form a copy of such notification.
