The aim is facilitate dialogue between regulators, industry and users on topics such as: forward-looking regulatory and policy developments in a rapidly changing environment; technological, market and other developments with potential impact on regulations; and the impact of regulations on technology developments and telecom markets.

The first day of the conference, themed Policy challenges, has been organised into plenary sessions with a range of regulatory policy and strategy issues being presented and discussed. On the second day, themed Regulatory practices under challenge, a set of parallel sessions will be held allowing discussion on more specific subjects. The conference will finish with a summing up of the issues discussed over the two days.

The conference, which will be held at the Steigenberger Hotel, in Berlin, Germany, is a regular event organised by the European Radiocommunications Office. This year, in view of the theme chosen, it is being held in cooperation with the European Commission which aims to encourage debate on themes that are topical and relevant to the electronic communications sector. It will also provide a means for the work undertaken by the organisation to be presented.
