A seminar, on the subject “Mergers, takeovers and joint ventures – the day after”, has been held in Lisbon for executives of the Association of Postal and Telecommunications Operators of the Portuguese-speaking Countries and Territories -Associação dos Operadores de Correios e Telecomunicações dos Países e Territórios de Língua Oficial Portuguesa (AICEP).
The seminar, which was held 23 – 26 October, was attended by representatives of operators and regulators from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe, the special administrative region of Macau, Brazil and Portugal.
The seminar programme included several visits to companies and to the premises of post and telecommunications operators, including the earth station of the Sintra satellite, the PT Comunicações operations centre in Linda-a-Velha and Alcatel’s competence centres.
ANACOM also participated in the seminar, with a presentation on “Regulation in the postal and telecommunications sectors”.
