The Regulation on quality of service approved by ANACOM on the 4th of May was published in Diário da República, II Series, on the 14th of June, with the number 46/2005.
This Regulation establishes the quality parameters that apply to the service of public telephone network access at a fixed location and to the telephone service available to the public at a fixed location, to be measured by the companies responsible for their provision. It also sets their content and format and how the quality of the services provided should be publicized.
The future setting of quality parameters for other electronic communication services is foreseen.
This is the second regulation adopted by ANACOM under the regulatory procedure consecrated in its statutes. The first one was the Regulation on the municipal fee for rights of way (MRFW).
